Centenary Death Celebration of our Founder Bishop Thomas Kurialacherry

Marking the solemn occasion of the 100th anniversary of the passing away of our beloved Founder Bishop Thomas Kurialacherry, the 35 communities of our province united in a rich and prayerful commemoration. Beginning nine days prior, each community held daily Holy Hour along with the faithful in adoration, sharing and reflecting on the holiness of our Founder. On June 2nd, the climax was a solemn Eucharistic Celebration in all our communities along with the faithful. Various competitions were held at the province level as well as regional wise. It was really a moment of deep learning of our founder’s spirit and charism for our congregation. Indeed, we experience how we can do much when we work in unity and fraternity as his beloved daughters.

Vocation Appreciation Day 2025

Vocation Precision Day 2025 was a moment of gratitude and family gathering. From 30th May to 2nd June, are candidates from Provincial House, shanti Bhavan, Diphu and Medziphema gathered at Shanti Bhavan under the guidance of their directresses, namely, Sr. Amala the Novice Directress, Sr. Sabina the Postulant Directress, Sr. Emilia, the students Aspirants Directress and Sr. Christy Surong, the Pre – Aspirant Directress. Rev.Fr. Regi CMI also took a session on 2nd June. Mother Joyce the Provincial Superior, Sr. Mercitta, Vicar Provincial and Sr. Annie Kuricheyil, Provincial Counselor took sessions for our candidates and encouraged them to nurture and grow in their vocation. They also appreciated them for being a blessing to the congregation. They had various competitions and group activities and later price were distributed to the winners.

53rd Death Anniversary of our Co- Foundress Mother Mary Chantal

All our communities have celebrated the 53rd death anniversary of a Co – foundress Mother Mary Chantal in a very befitted manner. Many sisters shared and gave talks on our Mother Chantal. Shared meals, gifted token of love to the deserved ones, went out to meet the needy ones in honor of Mother Chantal, shared snacks with the students in Amma’s name, brought many people for adoration and had solemn Eucharistic Celebration etc.  The effort taken by all of us was indeed a small act but a very satisfying moment where many have come to know more of her holy life. Many indeed have received God’s grace.

International Nurses Day

On 12th May the whole province joined the world around in celebrating the International Nurses Day. All the communities conducted a holy hour, offered Holy Mass, in remembrance of our Nurses Sisters in our province. On this day we specially celebrate the compassion, dedication and strength of Nurses around the world. We thank our Nurses sisters for their tireless efforts, healing hands and kind hearts. Yes, they are truly the heroes of healers.

Superiors, Principals, Vice – Principals and HM Orientation Program 2025

From 25th April to 29th April and enriching orientation program for the superiors, principal, vice principal and HM of our province was held in Provincial House. Rev. Father Paul Pudussery CSC animated them on the theme “Navigating transformation in religious Life”. The session provided deep insights into the ongoing changes and challenges faced by the religious communities in today’s evolving world. He also highlighted the importance of being self-learners and occurring necessary skills to remain effective and relevant in our mission. The session was not only informative but also deeply reflective, challenging each participant to examine their role in fostering a vibrant and responsive religious life.

Golden Jubilee Celebration of Sr. Mercy Poonaramattom

On 26 April 2025 Sister Mercy Poonaramattom SABS, celebrated the Golden Jubilee of her religious profession, marking 50 years of dedicated service to God and to the Church. The event was grazed by the presence of Most Rev. James Toppil, the Bishop of Kohima, Fathers, Sisters, friends and members of local community, who shared the joy and honor Sr.Mercy for her unwavering commitment and contributions to the Church and to the Society. The celebration commenced with a solemn celebration of the Holy Mass at SABS Provincial House Chumuokedima,presided over by His Excellency Most Rev.James Toppil, the Bishop of Kohima. The homily reflected on Sr. Mercy’s journey of faith in service, appreciating the impact of her work over the past five decades. Recalling the manifold blessings of the Lord upon her, Bishop acknowledged with profound love and gratitude. Following the Holy Mass there was a short felicitation program, congratulating the Jubilarian, the Jubilarian also expressed her sincere gratitude to God and to everyone.The event concluded with fellowship meal, shared with joy and gratitude.

Super Seniors’ Day Celebration

“The elderly are living libraries, holding the wisdom of generations”

On 19th March we had a Super Seniors’ Sisters gathering at Provincial House. The day was blessed with a solemn Eucharistic celebration, acknowledging their sacrifices and hard work for the spread of the Eucharistic devotion. The community greeted them with a greeting song, cutting of cake and presented them all a small token of love.Before lunch we also conducted few games and honored the Champions of the day. Then we had a short felicitation program by our sisters and candidates and concluded with a sharing of family meal. It was indeed a memorable day to honor and appreciate them.

10th Provincial Discussion Synaxis

The 10th Provincial Discussion Synaxis was held from 14th -18th March. The Synaxis was held in Shanti Bhavan. Mother Joyce Thekkumkattil, the Provincial Superior warmly welcomed the synaxis members. On 15th Rev. Fr. Jerry SDB,animated the synaxis members as they spend the day in prayer and reflection. Based on the four working papers, the members were divided into four groups and various discussions were made and presented in the general discussions by the groups. The days were really an experience of God’s grace and a moment of blessing for the province. On 18th evening the Synaxis was concluded with adoration.

World Sick Day -11th February 2025

11th February 2025, was a day of witnessing the healing Grace of Jesus as our SABS Provincial House inmates under the leadership of Sr. Rose Mary Kochutharayil observed the World Sick Day by visiting the Civil Hospital, Dimapur. Sr. Rose Mary, Sr. Seraphia, Sr. Rosena and the Aspirants spend the whole day with patients, praying with them and listening to their joys and pain. The day was a real experience of the joy of reaching out to our needy brothers and sisters. We also gave them a small provisions. Indeed our life is a gift of God.

Parents' Meet of the Second Year Novices - 8th February 2025

On 8th February 2025 , the Corpus Christi Province, Dimapur has organised Parent’s Meet for the Second Year Novices at SABS Provincial House, Chumoukedima. The gathering was a moment of blessing and joy for all of us. Rev. Mother Joyce Thekkumkattil, the Provincial Superior warmly welcome the parents. And our Novices and Apirants felicitated the parents with short felicitation program followed by a fellowship meal. Sr. Alice Nemang Konyak conducted a Holy hour along with  the community members for the parents and novices. It was indeed a moment of deep grace and God’s blessing.

WORLD CONSECRATED DAY ORGANISED BY CRI UNIT, DIMAPUR -11/02/2025

On 11th February 2025, the CRI Unit, Dimapur had organised a get together for all the Junior Sisters of different religious congregation and for Brothers at SDB Provincial House Dimapur.Rev. Fr. Deli David the Vice -Provincial of SDB was the main resource person of the day. He also gave points to be discussed in group related to our vocation and it’s challenges.The day was well celebrated with a Solemn blessing of candles and Holy Mass. In the afternoon there was short cultural program performed by sisters and brothers. It was a day of appreciation and blessing.
