101 Death Anniversary of our Founder:

The 101st death anniversary of our beloved founder Venerable Bishop Thomas Kurialacherry was solemnly observed on 2nd June with prayer, thanksgiving and fellowship. Rev. Fr. Sabu celebrated the Holy Mass. In the evening a holy hour was conducted for the youth of our St. Joseph Parish Chumukedima. Around 35 youths attended actively joining in prayer and reflection. The presence of Rev. Fr. George Reno, the Parish Priest and Rev. Fr. Marcus Yanthan, the Assistant Priest was truly a blessing for the gathering. Fr. George gave a short reflection and Fr. Marcus blessed our Youth during the adoration. Thereafter, a short programme was held performed by our Pre- postulants, postulants and from junior sisters. It was a good opportunity to share the vision and holiness of our founder with the youth. The gathering concluded with fellowship dinner, and it was a moment of joyful sharing of friendship and faith.
Vocation Appreciation Day – 2026

The Corpus Christi province Vocation Appreciation Day – 2026 was conducted in the provincial house from 22nd May to 24th May, and it was attended by 47 candidates of different stages of formation viz. Postulants, pre postulants, students aspirants ( cl 11 &12) and pre aspirants. The program started at 5.30pm with the solemn Rosary procession and introductory session by Mother Annie Kurichiyeil, the provincial councillor, which was then followed by cultural evening. On the second day Rev. Fr. George Rino celebrated the holy Mass, and left us with beautiful homily on religious life and it’s formation. Rev. Fr. Carlous Msfs, animated the morning session. That was followed by holy hour conducted for the formees by the directresses. The outdoor games and sports were held at St. Joseph School ground. Various competitions such as Bible Declamation, talent show, Orchestra, Mime, special competition on our Co- Foundress, Mother Chantal, were conducted. Sr. Rose Mary, the provincial council gave the input session on the third day. The program concluded with the exhortation from Mother Annie and the prize distribution for the various winners. It was a great day of blessing and experience for our children.
Inner Healing Retreat

Then combined inner healing retreat 2026 for the candidates of our province was held in the Provincial house from 3rd May to 8th May 2026. It was animated by Rev. Fr. Lijo MSFS, from Mawkhlam Retreat Centre. 37 candidates consisting of postulants, pre postulants, students aspirants (Cl. XI) and pre aspirants attended the retreat and it was a blessed one
Blessing and Inauguration of the New SABS Provincial Administrative Block

The blessing and inauguration of the New SABS Provincial Administrative Block was held on 25th April at 4:00pm. The ceremony was solemnly blessed by Most Rev. James Thoppil, the Bishop of Kohima in the gracious presence of many priests, religious, friends, benefactors and well – wishers. The occasion was richly blessed by the prayers offered by Most Rev. Bishop James Thoppil, invoking God’s abundant blessing upon all those who would live and work and appreciated the efforts of everyone who contributed towards the completion of the building. Rev. Mother Joyce Thekkumkattil, the Provincial Superior did the honour of cutting of the ribbon, marking the formal opening of the new administrative block. This was followed by the blessing of the commemorative plague by Bishop James Thoppil. The gathering marked a memorable and joyful occasion for the Corpus Christi Province Dimapur as the new block stands as a symbol of growth, unity and dedicated service to the mission of the Congregation.
Following the blessing ceremony, a solemn Holy Mass was celebrated with deep devotion and gratitude to God for His providence and guidance all through. The program concluded with a sincere notes of thanks from Provincial Superior, Sr. Joyce Thekkumkattil and shared a moments of joy, fraternity and togetherness with a fellowship dinner. The entire event was marked by prayerfulness, sharing and gratitude.
Marian Retreat

Marian Retreat was successfully conducted in the Province and all our sisters and the candidates at different stages of formation could participate it. The retreat was conducted at different phases in Provincial House, Shanti Bhavan, Medziphema and according to zonal wise too. The retreat was animated by Sr. Arpita and Sr. Lis Therese

Super Seniors Day Gathering

The Super Seniors Day was joyfully celebrated at Provincial House on 21st March with great enthusiasm and pride, honouring our elderly sisters for being always a model and an inspiration to all. Rev. Fr. Philip, the Parish Priest of Medziphema animated our sisters. The day was filled with true sense of prayer and gratitude as we come before the Lord together in adoration. After the spiritual session, all gathered for a lunch, sharing moments of togetherness and fraternity. The afternoon was filled with a variety of programmes and games by our sisters and candidates, bringing laughter, energy and active participation from our seniors’ sisters
Oreintation Programme for Superiors, Principals, Vice- Principals, and HMs

An orientation programme for Superiors, Principals, Vice- Principals and HMs of the province was held in the Provincial from 13th to 15th March with the aim of fostering spiritual growth and effective leadership. Rev. Fr. Jerry SDB animated the sisters and introduced to the participants to the TAPPING method of prayer. The session was insightful, beneficial and helped our sisters to deepen personal prayer, inner healing and emotional balance too, enhancing our ministry.
Golden and Silver Jubilee Celebration of Religious Profession

The Golden and Silver Jubilee of Religious Profession was solemnly celebrated on 14th February at 5:30 pm at the SABS Provincial House, Chumuokedima, Dimapur. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Bishop James Thoppil, the bishop of Kohima, who was the main celebrant for the auspicious occasion.
The celebration honoured Sr. Elsy Manikompel SABS,the Golden Jubilarian, marking fifty years of her faithful and dedicated religious life. Along with her, the Silver Jubilarians – Sr. Mary Minj SABS, Sr. Liy Lemoru SABS, Sr. Reena Olapurackal SABS, Sr. Stella Rose Thouthang SABS, Sr. Clare P. Awungshi SABS and Sr. Martha Athing SABS – gratefully celebrated twenty five years of committed service in the vineyard of the Lord.
The solemn Eucharist was prayerful and meaningful, filled with thanksgiving to God for the gift of vocation and for the generous witness of the Jubilarians. The celebration was graced by the presence of many priests and religious sisters, as well as the parents and relatives of the Jubilarians, making the occasion a joyful family gathering.
Following the Holy Mass, a short felicitation programme was held in honour of the Jubilarians. The programme concluded with a fellowship meal, fostering a spirit of joy, unity and thanksgiving among all present. The celebration was a moment of grace and gratitude for the beauty of a life totally dedicated to His Service.

About Us
The congregation of the Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (SABS) which was founded on 8th December 1908 at Champakulam in the Archdiocese of Changanacherry, Kerala, India has its origin from the deep personal experience of the Eucharistic presence of the Venerable Mar Thomas Kurialacherry (1873-1925), an ardent devotee of the Holy Eucharist.
