Junior sisters' program

The newly professed sisters ( Mission Provinces) of the 2024 batch had a gathering at Sathyopasana, Bhopal M.P, from 3rd to 5th November 2024. The resource persons were Rev. Fr. Jacob CMI, and Rev. Sr. Bety, focusing on the theme, ” How to blend contemplative and active life” and ” Holistic Health” respectively. They had interactions with the general councillors and their novice directors.

Junior sisters’ program
Our junior sisters had the orientation program from 2nd to 4th November, 2024 with the theme, ” Call and Consecration” by Rev. Fr.Riji CMI at our Provincial House. 39 of them attended the program. On the 4th night they had a cultural night and competition. Prizes were distributed to the winners.
Seminar for Junior Senior Sisters, 2024

The seminar for junior and senior sisters took place from October 10th to 12th, 2024, focusing on the theme of Transformative Leadership in Contemporary Society and the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. Rev. Fr. Joseph Thohrii, Vice Principal of St. Joseph College, Ukhrul, Manipur served as the resource person. A total of 38 sisters participated in the program. On the second day evening, the sisters engaged in competitions, and prizes were awarded to the winners. The third day was packed with discussions and presentation presided by Sr. Jessina. The program was both enriching and enlightening, offering valuable insights for personal and professional growth.
Vestition & First Profession of SABS Novices, Corpus Christi Province, Dimapur Nagaland

The Vestition and First Profession of eigth SABS novices: Linda Mary Lyngkhoi, Beolaresi Hansepi, Teresa Lamthew, Catherine Yanthan, Carolen Yimchunger, Esther Langmai, Martha Tango Konyak and Rachel Thongpangnaro, of Corpus Christi Province, Dimapur, was a deeply spiritual and joyous occasion, held on the 14th of September, 2024.Six of them are from Eastern Nagaland and one each from Assam and Meghalaya respectively. Novice Rachel Thongpangnaro is the first novice from the Chang community to be professed as a religious sister. The ceremony was presided over by the Most Rev. Dr. James Thoppil, Bishop of Kohima, and concelebrated by 35 priests. The novices, surrounded by their parents, relatives, and members of various religious communities, made their first commitment to the religious life, marking a significant milestone in their spiritual journey. Sr.Catherine Elavumkal SABS, the Provincial Superior accepted their vows and welcomed them to the family of SABS. Sr.Elsa Paikada, General Councillor was also present to witness the function. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to the newly professed sisters, as they embark on this beautiful path of service to God and His people. We pray for abundant blessings in their mission.

The congregation of the Sisters of the Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament (SABS) which was founded on 8th December 1908 at Champakulam in the Archdiocese of Changanacherry, Kerala, India has its origin from the deep personal experience of the Eucharistic presence of the Venerable Mar Thomas Kurialacherry (1873-1925), an ardent devotee of the Holy Eucharist.
